At the specified time, the device will begin to vibrate, first on a low setting before it gradually increases to the wearer's selected level of intensity. There are 30 levels to choose from, and a spokesperson from the company claims the device is virtually silent through 27.

Per a spokesperson for the company, the new pink model runs on a more powerful motor and features a travel lock.
