What's in your backpack, Dora? Oh, a vape pen.

Youth is a time for curiosity and adventure. Just ask Fatima Ptacek, the fifteen-year-old actress who voices Dora the Explorer -- and loves exploring the magic of vaping.

According to The Associated Press, Ptacek was suspended from her private high school after she was"caught using a vapor pen to inhale caramel-flavored water" in a bathroom at the school in December of 2015.

Now the parents of another student are suing Manhattan's Avenues: The World School -- which sounds like the setting of a Young Adult series -- claiming that the Nickelodeon star received preferential treatment because of her star status.

Ptacek was suspended for three days, while Nadia Leonelli and Fredrik Sundwall's daughter was expelled from the school.

"The fact that F.P. is a known actress for being the voice of Dora Explorer may have played a role in why she was ultimately not expelled even after the school threatened as much, and M.S. was expelled instead as a scapegoat," states the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also claims that Ptacek peer pressured their daughter into vaping. Boots probably knows what that's like.

Leonelli and Sundwall are seeking $40,000 in damages and want their daughter reinstated at the school.
