SINGAPORE -- National hero Joseph Schooling has been a busy man since he returned to Singapore, but he found time to commemorate his historic gold medal win by getting inked.

A video of the tattoo session was posted on Instagram by the Singapore Swimming Association and has since received almost 5,000 likes.
Schooling also posted a picture of his tattoo onto his social media accounts with the caption: "It's been a couple years but I think I've finally earned that tattoo."

According to The Straits Times, this is Schooling's second tattoo. His first ink is located on his shoulder and is of a Longhorn in reference to his alma mater, the University of Texas.
