"I want to personally thank him for changing my life. I am a legally married woman because of him and so is my wife," DeGeneres explained. 。

The president has only stopped by the show twice, once in 2007 and again in 2016. The first lady on the other hand has made multiple appearances with Ellen: dancing, racing through a CVS, co-hosting and even challenging each other to a push-up competition.。

Even one of the first pups, Bo Obama, makes a cameo in the tribute video, which also includes touching moments like Obama honoring the comedian or supporting same sex marriage, and hilariously doctored footage of the president being Ellen's #1 fan. 。
