Sometimes, even the stars of a music festival just want to enjoy it like the little people in the crowd.
That was true for Big Boi, a founding member of Outkast and one half of the Big Grams duo. He performed at San Francisco's Outside Lands music festival earlier this month. And although he was only officially slated to perform on day two of the three-day event, the rapper spent his first evening taking in the Outside Lands sights in Golden Gate Park.
After a round of putt-putt, a turn on the bongos and a few golf cart rides, the rapper surprised festival attendees with an unannounced solo performance in between the official stages.
Better yet, the whole thing was captured on a 360-degree video. The 360-video, filmed on one of Samsung's new Gear 360 cameras, shows a view of the shindig that you likely missed if all you watched was the official live stream. Check out the video, below, to see some highlights from Big Boi's day in the park. Like other 360-degree videos, you can change your viewpoint by dragging your finger (or cursor, if you're on a browser) around the screen or holding your phone at a different angle.
As for Big Boi's official comment on the outing:
"That was the first festival that I've ever been able to walk around and I've played them all the time. I loved everything, I had the time of my life, like Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing."
