One of the best gaming deals of the day comes from Walmart, for example, which is selling the Nintendo Switch Lite with Animal Crossing: New Horizonsfor just $159. Compare that to the roughly $260 it would have cost to get a Switch Lite with Animal Crossingback when the game first came out — and you've got yourself a tantalizing gaming deal.
There are, of course, tons of great Switch games (including many that are currently on the way), so getting a cheap Switch Lite, even with the rumored Switch 2 on the way, could be a steal. Even if you choose not to buy any other Switch games for a while, though, Animal Crossingshould keep you occupied with its unique real-time calendar features and omnipresent sense of stress-free whimsy. In our review, Kellen Beck called it a "little beacon of hope."
"Playing it makes me feel like I'm taking the video game version of a breath of fresh air, or going on a little vacation away from everything that feels like it could make me collapse into a pile of jittering slime," Beck said.
