Breakfast cereal is an American staple, and now, thankfully, a high-end delicacy.
In New York City's Times Square -- the home of such cherished American restaurants as The M&M store and "Man selling water bottles out of his backpack" -- a new cereal café called "Kellogg's NYC" will open on July 4. Kellogg's NYC has partnered with Anthony Rudolf, the General Manager of Per Se, to create the cereal bar, and will include both basic cereal and elaborate cereal-based celebrations.

For $7.50 a bowl (yes, a regular box of cereal costs far less than that), you can get Special K original, Frosted Flakes, pistachios, lemon zest and thyme.
Dessert aficionados can also try one of the restaurant's sundaes, including the "Peppermint Patty," including Frosted Mini-Wheats chocolate, cocoa powder and fresh mint.
Then you can wash it all down with an Iced Coffee for $3, which is tragically considered a reasonable price in New York.

Food will be dispensed in a traditional automat style, featuring little cubbies filled with not only milk and cereal, but toys and Hamiltontickets as well. Customers will order their meals, then pick them up (along with a children's toy or theater tickets) at the cabinets.
Kellogg’s NYC opens on 1600 Broadway. Take a look at their menu, and make a lot of wild/speculative/snappy judgments.
