Smith's speech -- which began about an hour after the scheduled start time -- was followed by performances from a handful of artists.

The scheduled music line-up for the night included Pusha T, Nick Zinner, Brian Chase of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jaleel Bunton of TV on the Radio, and Money Mark.

Vice also said the band will "feature guest vocal spots from...Pusha T, Charli XCX, Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino, Meredith Graves, and Kristin Kontrol."
