SAVE UP TO 50%:Through June 13, use code BDAY to unlock up to 50% off base fares during Southwest's Wanna Get Away Day sale.
Southwest Airlines offers flight deals more often than most other airlines, and Southwest does refer to many of those deals events as Wanna Get Away sales. But this one's different — this is thebig Wanna Get Away Day sale, celebrating Southwest's birthday (go off, Gemini royalty).
Through June 13, customers booking flights taking off between August 6 and December 18, 2024, can enter code BDAY to shave up to 50% offbase fares. This even beats Southwest's Cyber Monday sale from 2023, which maxed out at 30% off fares.
The code applies to both continental or international travel, including to Hawaii and Puerto Rico, though dates for the non-continental flights shift slightly (from August 20 to December 17.)

If you prefer to book flights with an airline directly rather than putting your fate in the hands of a third party site like Expedia or Kayak, Southwest typically offers more digestible fares than airlines like American or United. You may not know this about Southwest if you do typically browse third party apps, because Southwest doesn't allow its prices to be shown anywhere but on its own website.
If you're checking a bag, flying Southwest also inherently saves you another handful of cash by allowing you to check two bags for free each flight. Even if another airline only charges $35 per bag, that's $70 per person roundtrip that you're saving through Southwest.
