YouTube artists are singing for Sing.
Mike Tompkins, Karmin, UsTheDuo, Chloe x Halle, KRNFX, Peter Hollens, Harper Still, Kina Grannis and Leroy Sanchez on Friday performed a special concert called "A Holiday Remix: Live on YouTube" to celebrate the upcoming Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment animated film.
The event, hosted by The Try Guys' Keith Habersberger and Tiffany Smith, was streamed on Illumination'sYouTube channel (see above video).
Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Singstars Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), a koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. To restore the venue to its former glory, he decides to hold a singing competition.

The film, produced by Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy, features more than 65 hit songs.
The concert is the latest promotional partnership between YouTube and the studios.
Earlier this year, YouTube Spaces in Los Angeles and New York hosted dozens of top YouTube and mainstream talent to film content on Sing-inspired sets designed by Illumination artists.
The content filmed on these sets will appear on YouTube throughout December on the talent’s own channels and a playlist on YouTube.
Fans were also offered the opportunity to star in a Sing-inspired music video collaboration by YouTube star Mike Tompkins for Stevie Wonder’s Golden Globe Award-nominated “Faith” featuring Ariana Grande.
Sing rolls out in theaters Dec. 21.
