It seems that partnering up with a big camera name is the thing you simply must do as a smartphone maker.
Following OnePlus' announcement of the Hasselblad-powered OnePlus 9, China's Vivo has launched its new X60 phones, with cameras made in collaboration with Zeiss.
The most powerful among the new devices is the Vivo X60 Pro+, which comes with a quad, 50/48/32/8-megapixel rear camera, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 4,200mAh battery, and 55W fast charging.
The camera will shine in low-light scenarios, Vivo says, it has very fast autofocus, and the dedicated, 32-megapixel portrait camera should be able to produce some great portrait photos. The partnership with Zeiss is seen in several unique features, such as the Zeiss T* Coating on the X60 Pro+'s cameras, which reduces reflections and enhances light transmission, Vivo says.
