Save $50.99: As of July 29, you can grab the PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition for $399, down from its full price of $449.99, at Amazon and Walmart. The PS5 Slim with a disc drive is also on sale for $449, down from $499.99, at Amazon and Walmart.
PlayStation's summer sale is here, which means through Aug. 5 (or while supplies last), that you can grab a PlayStation 5 Slim on sale.
Our readers gave the PS5 a lot of love over Amazon Prime Day, even though the console wasn't actually on sale. That's why we want to let you know when you can actually score some dollars off, and where you can grab the absolute best prices. Although you can shop the sale on PlayStation's website, as well as several other retailers, true to form Amazon and Walmart are competing to offer the absolute best price.
In both cases, that means the retailers have dropped their prices 99 cents below everyone else. That means you can grab the PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition for $399 even, down from $449.99 at Amazon and Walmart, while folks who are into having a disc drive can grab that PlayStation 5 Slim at Amazon and Walmart for $449, down from $499.99.

Still, disc drive or not, you're getting much of the same top-notch performance from the original console in a slightly smaller package, according to our sister site PCMag's review. (And we were big fans of the original console). You'll also be getting 1TB of built-in storage space with the PS5 Slim, up from the 825GB some PS5 models have.
If you're not feeling quite sold on the PS5 Slim, you might find it worth it to wait for the PS5 Pro announcement.
