George W. Bush does not agree. And in fact, he believes the media is an extremely important aspect of today's society, describing it as "indispensable to democracy."。
"We need an independent media to hold people like me to account," Bush explained in an interview with Matt Lauer, recalling challenges faced during his own time in office. "Power can be very addictive and it can be corrosive, and it’s important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power," he added, throwing some serious shade at Trump.。
