Consumers might not care as much over legal battles between tech giants, but Apple's $1 billion lawsuit against Qualcomm could have huge ramifications for future iPhones, namely who will supply the baseband processor (the module that's essential to helping you connect to cell towers and Wi-Fi).。

Without getting into the nitty gritty (you'll have to listen to the podcast for full details), Apple's essentially accusing Qualcomm of being a patent troll and charging royalties "for technologies they have nothing to do with." 。
