Netflix's 。 Jessica Jones。is attempting to accomplish both. At Transform Hollywood on Friday, Melissa Rosenberg, the show's executive producer, announced that all Season 2 episodes will be directed by women.。

Women directed slightly under a third of the show's first season. A study from the Center for Women in Television and Film found that women made up approximately 12 percent of all television directors in 2015.。

Next season's Game of Thrones, by contrast, will not have any female directors. 。
